It doesn't get much better than that!

Terrific! I only miss a bit of metallic reflection on the circuit
textures... perhaps it's a whole image_map carefully placed over the
geometry?

I subscribe to the view of Theo. As long as I have not seen the source code
or a modification of the image (pov-logo or name) I am not going to believe
in a POV-Ray rendered image. It is too perfect (dust, usage marks).

Could you please post a version without focal blur and radiosity?

Thanks,
Rene

Then try to see if you can spot
any solder on the pads, that
adhere smoothly to the components.

Well, I believe it's a render. I think Rick has used a (highly detailed) photo of the
board as
an image_map pigment (and possibly height_field), thus accounting for all the little
imperfections. Am I correct Rick?

Anyhow, extremely well done on this.

All the best,

Andy Cocker

I hate to tell you this, but IIRC from the first time this was posted,
pretty much all of thos details are due to the image map he used, I think
he scanned the card and used that as a basis to place components.

I could be wrong though and if I am, then I'm seriously impressed. :)

Jamie.

Use a flatbed scanner for textures when you can, and if you want dust &
fluff, dont clean the glass plate / object before you scan :)
