Nice work Jan ;)

I would suggest using variable reflection on your floor as this will negate
the need for fog.

Happy Tracing

Dave.

So did I.

Mine has 50.000 spheres
No problem: parse time < 30 seconds

I like this one! It has a special feel.
And the render-time is impressively low.

I prefer the first one.. In this one, everything is more phycko wild.. My
eyes are forced to the focal point, my balance is tipping ... I'm falling
aaaaahhh.

The first one was like a soft landscape.

Hugo

A beautiful image, but it makes me feel a bit woozy so I won't use it as my
background :-)

do you think, adding more FocalBlur would soften it, and make it better ?

The spheres are so close that they look very much like a landscape. This
effect could be used to your advantage if you slightly curved the checkered
plane to suggest a checkered planet.
