As others have said, clean, nice lighting.

Wow, very nice! Realistic lighting and stone.

LTNS! Samuel.

I especially like the almost ISO 400 film look to this, probably from having
taken so many pictures.

A person could argue that the blank places in the stone arch is peculiar, so
I will at least, don't know why they left it up to me to say. :-)
Hopefully you intended to difference away those to create missing stone
holes?

It's a terrific lighting study type scene. What's better still is knowing
your still creating these wonderful things like always. Very glad to see
you here again.

No, it's about four area_lights, two of which are only 2x2.

I'm not creating anything at the moment, but as soon as my computer is up
I'll be losing sleep again :)

Despite of this it looks very good although the trained eye can recognize
some hints for the 'fake'.

Do you have a special method for placing the area lights or are they
individually positioned for best results?

If the trained eye wouldn't be able of recognizing some hints for the
'fake', people would start saying "hey, that's cheating, you just took a
photograph somewhere!" ;-)

With 'fake' i was not referring to CG <-> photography but to the use of
area_lights to simulate global illumination.
