Nice - especially the snow near the wardrobe.

As a WIP, I don't have any particular criticisms, but IMHO it's going to take a
lot of work to pull this off. The bulk of your picture is going to be the room
and the exterior of the wardrobe, rather than Narnia. The mundane requires a lot
more detail and realism than the fantastic to please the crowds....

*sigh* you're so right. I haven't really worked on identifiable real-world
objects like this before and I'm finding that beyond a point it becomes very
boring! I could spend hours trying to make something that looks exactly like a
very ordinary unremarkable wardrobe!

I'd like to get more detail in there, but I'm rapidly losing motivation now that
the main components of the scene are there. Plus working on a second image for
this round has somewhat distracted me.

Does anyone have any good tips for adding realistic details to objects? Bear in
mind I have almost no modelling abilities whatsoever and prefer pov code
solutions :) I figure I can gain a lot by using isosurfaces for all the wood,
just to add faint grain with some dents... But I've never really done this sort
of "detailing" before so any tips on what will/won't work would be much
appreciated.

Cheers.
