IIRC she's also a bit of a tubby.

I did. Personally, I probably would have used projected_through for the
same effect and less rendering time, but that's just me.

It's hard to tell from this picture, because of the lack of contrast with the
tree behind it, but it appears to not have a crossbar. Saying more would
probably be a spoiler for The Magician's Nephew.

Well, it's only a major plot point, right?

Actually, I was curious about this....

Should I restrict photon collection to just the appropriate area, or is there
sufficient optimisation already?

And just to check, is there a way to set "collect off" as the default? I tried
adding it to the global photons block but with no luck...

Nice image so far...

I think this has been discussed before but what did you use to generate the
mountains? Is this a heightfield?

Narnia questions....
What's the name of the boy in the Magicians Nephew?
What was the name of the place with all the puddles/ponds (that was like a
World between Worlds)?
From what I remember he used a magic ring to get there. Where did the ring
come from?

Iso-surface (f_ridged_mf) with some additional stuff to create the foreground
plane.

Hmm... Arthur?

Was it the wood between the worlds?

From his uncle?

Oh, sure, now you make me go look it up.

I only knew the answer to the third one beforehand, and I'd forgotten the
guy's name. I confused the answer to the first one with another character
from a later book, and I can't even find the answer to the second question
in the book. The book seems to just call it the Wood between the Worlds.

Still, given that I last read most of those books somewhere between 15 and
20 years ago (except The Magician's Nephew, which I last read a little over
two years ago, and let's not go into why I never got a chance to reread the
other six, thankyouverymuch) I think I still have a pretty good outline of
most of their plots.
