Yes, i rendered my steam-machine again after getting a picture form my
brother.
Look at www.heeg.de/roland to find more about steam-machines ...

I tried to put the camera in an equal angle to compare the results, both
machines,
the real and the virtual were build from the same drawings ....

  Very nice modelling... it will be a very good challenge to give it the 
same textures and lighting as the real pic, tough.

Very well modelled. Now, time for texturing! It could seem harder than it really is:
use the photo you have to pick the right colors. Add a window behind the
steam-machine and that's it! A very good model is a good start for a very good scene.

At the time no chance for this. I am modelling on a new "steam-machine" in
my cad-program, a firebrigade-steampump from 1890. In perhaps some month
there will be a result if i understand the technical drawings ... :)
But your right, my model was textured like i thought it could look like, not
having a picture or
the original in reach...
