Your control over functions is simply amazing! I was also doing some 
decorative tests with functions, but more in my usual "muddling along" way. 

Indeed, I was doing it with height_fields: a lot faster and almost the same 
results for this kind of use. Or perhaps I'm worng?

Yes, height_fields are faster.
But they need hf data (i.e. larger memory) and less flexible.

I know this is five years old, but it's marvelous stuff. What's p.t.s-f.? I
have done a quick google search, but I haven't been able to find the source
files. Anybody have it?
