Being bored, and wanting a break from working on that reflective
sphere-with-radiosity scene, I decided to make another landscape
instead.. and for a change, instead of trying for realism, I wanted to
emulate the laughably crude look of old Bryce renders.

There's no demonstration here of any sort (except, perhaps, that even
crude scenes can be pretty.. but we knew this, didn't we?). I just liked
the colors and felt like sharing. :)

Since I still use Bryce 1 on occaision, I know what to look for. The
water and land look great, but I've never seen Bryce produce a sky like
that.

It's still a cool scene.

Yes you really have caught the old Bryce look here.

Wonder if alians render landscapes that look like earth?

I had a hard time finding reference renders for some reason, so
eventually I stopped worrying about getting the sky perfect and just
made it look interesting.

You know, i still see those types of 5min-of-work renders on rave/techno
flyers .
So there are still artists out there getting paid maybe $500 for a pic that
took them
a few clicks of the mouse and a couple of ketstrokes to create , hahah
Good for them i guess.
