I've been doing some experimenting with cloth simulation myself, and one
source you have to check out is David Baraff. He has described a good
and fast way of doing numerically stable simulatoions. Look at

I had a look at it... wow I need some aspirine, but it comfirms that I was
thinking: my model is correct, but need shorter time steps when I use more
mesh triangles.
I'll try to understand the algorithm to improve stability during Xmas.
