Hi

Notice the black marks aon the window arches. Any ideas what is causing them
or how I can get rid of them?

I suspect they are due to radiosity settings. The arches are basic triangle
meshes created in hamapatch and converted to pov by 3dwin.

Radiosity settings I'm using

    radiosity{
       pretrace_start 1//0.08
       pretrace_end   1//0.04  //.004
       count 400  // 2-400 in final
       nearest_count 8
       error_bound 0.15
       recursion_limit 2
       low_error_factor 0.5
       gray_threshold 0
       minimum_reuse 0.015
       brightness 1.0
       adc_bailout 0.01/2
   normal on
   media on
  }

Any help gratefully received

Mick

I don't see anything strange, could you be more precise what's bothering
you?

I guess what is bothering Mick is what I've labelled (1). Are you sure
your mesh is contiguous and smooth?

What bothers me though is the blue reflections, labelled (2) and (3). I
think (2) is a problem, but (3) is probably just due to the lack of a
green/gray/brown ground.

Don't know about the rad but those spiral columns would look better if they
went right into the floor as that's the way they work at the top.
