Just playing with radiosity. Rendered in 7h 57m 18s on my Athlon 700, 192MB.
Used Radiosity_2Bounce settings and lots of lights in the ceiling.

I was originally trying to light with ambient boxes, but quality was poor. I
tried adding area lights but I didn't like the looks. So, I wrote a cheap
AreaLight macro. Much faster, much better looking. There's still some
blotchiness, so I've got some tweaking to do.

Still looks good, though.

Questions? Comments? Suggestions?

Michael

I think an area_light with appropriate settings would be faster and better
than a lot of point lights here. You will have to play a bit with the
parameters to get it fast and avoid graininess at the same time.

Hi,

one of the best images I have ever seen. Great colors and pretty close to
reality.
The only think you could try (not change) is adding blur to the image.
Maybe it improves the image or not, should be worth a try.

Thank you
Rene
