Youre right... I didn't play much with it. It's really late (1.38 am and
tomorrow I'm having school at 8.30...) and I wanted the render to finish
before going to bed ;)
Here I think I should either lower transmit (here 0.7) or increase
scattering.

Lowering the transmit should do it... You used double_illuminate too, right?

I'm pretty sure it does, but I'll be darned if I know what the IOR is.
Besides, in my experiments, I got some strange lighting using IOR for it.
Believe me when I said I tried everything. :)

JRG, you are rendering god. With more realistic flames it could be a
photo. Especially the metal is really good.

Looks good to me except for the flame touching the wick. Try for a
clear conical area around the wick. The bases are sweet.
