Hi all,

Got sent a max+brazil test render from a buddy and thought pov 3.5 could do
better
http://www.i-sight.net/digicam/kewl.jpg

both scenes only have 1 light used (ok so I used a teeny 4x4 area light to
give slightly softer shadows), and I decided to make mine slightly wider and
use chrome spheres (cos I like chrome)

I didnt knew there was some 3d application called Brazil !
Could someone tell a bit about it ?
(can be in private or in other forum, since it's quite off-topic here)

Would there be any problem if these scenes were added to the *advanced*
folder of the official distribution?

I can't speak for the POV-Team, but i think the set of scene files is
'fixed', if we start adding more things now, everyone will suggest other
things to add too...

Okay.
Nevertheless it would be great if it we could see the source...

BTW I think that that image does not really show what Brazil can do.

Me too! Being Brazilian I more than quickly checked their site
(http://www.splutterfish.com), and saw some very good images and animations
done with Brazil (I still don't get the name of the software, though...).
True, nothing that couldn't be achieved with POV, IMHO, but nevertheless
some great scenes. Plus, I guess it would take a lot more work than placing
spheres and light sources to get something like the following picture.
