How can I make clouds using media? I've tried using a density_map with a
high media density (scattering { 2, 0.0001 }) but it only shows the
background or sky_sphere pigment.

    A lot depends on other parameters, including scale. Post your entire
media statement in povray.general and maybe you can get some hints.

Look in p.b.s.f under "cloud code for more balls" It' will at least get you
started.
