This is my very first try with head modelling (and my fourth hamapatch model
ever). I know the shape is odd, but I think it's a good start. The model
isn't finished yet, but I won't go on working with it because I've started
the model with just a few points and adding details now is almost
impossible. BTW what do you think? Should I go on practising with human
modelling (which is known to be quite difficult) or should I give up? Is
there a good web site where I can find usefull information about that?

 Looks like a pretty good start to me ... esp since you started with
a small number of points.  Not something I've dared to fool with yet.

By all means keep it up it looks great. I have Lightwave too and have yet to
get results this good.
BTW how about a flesh tone render (like the one Gilles did)  just for fun.

Lightwave? Good for you. It has probably the most incredible modelling tool
(magnet?).

i have animation-master (hash) unused on my harddisk, and people can model
human faces
with this software, but i can not ...

This looks pretty good, keep on modelling ...
