Ok, for everyone's perusal...my gingerbread house with a button-candy path
leading to the porch. Now, does anyone have any suggestions for the ground
and the background? Was thinking just frosting/snow for ground cover, but
the background looks empty. Was also thinking of adding some candy canes at
random. Comments/suggestions are very welcome.

John

How about placing some snowy gingerbread trees behind and on the sides of
the house. I'd place enough trees to cover the horizont. A snowy ground
sounds fine.

The gingerbread house is set in a forest - how about some smoke from the
chimney?

You could landscape around the house with trees / mountains to cover the
horizon, or you could mask it with fog{}, or you could do both...
