Hehe actually I just finished reading 1984 for the first time a few weeks
ago, so those image are fresh in my memory, however I don't think any of
that would fit with the alien in the alcove. I think the "dwelling of a
daylight-dodging cranky computer hermit" look you mensioned works better
here.

The books definetly not but the rest ... perhaps if they were produced by
the party and prominently displayed political sayings and images.
