Just messing around really, kinda liked what I had done.
Want to add some focal blur, and maybe an image map
saying what make the pens are and need to soften them
shadows a bit.
Please let me know what you think.
Dave.

They look fairly good, but the scale seems to be off abit, make them
longer.

Hmmm, nice modelling... but to me appears it that the blue caps and
gold/brown tips could be somewhat more saturated in color!
See you in Khyberspace!

There's a lot of perspective to that rendering though, I took a BIC pen and
looked at it to compare. With both eyes open the pen is long and slender,
much unlike these show. Then I closed one eye and the pens were very close
to the same, except for I couldn't focus near enough.
Add caustics or photons to the clear plastic too while your continuing to
fix it up.
I did some BIC pens if you want a look, they need more done to them too.

No modeled in Moray
BTW what sort of focal blur settings did you have for your tank model.
Thx in Advance

When I first rendered this pen it was vertical and the size seemed perfect
I think the perspective had a lot to do with the "stumpiness" the pens are
currently suffering from.
I tried the pens initially with caustics but was not very impressed. I think
the angle of the light source might not have been favourable.
I am currently in the middle of a render (800 x 600) with focal blur and an
area light that is 8 x 8 (64 lights might be a bit much :) ) So far it has
taken
6 hours to do 43%. I will post the results as soon as they are done.
Thanks for the comments.
Dave.

o_O That looks pretty darn good. I'm fairly speechless here.
