Lost the hoses on the lower legs and replaced them with pipes. rotated the
claws more downward and added a surface normal.

regarding retractable claws. I think if you changed the shape of the claws
so that they appeared able to roll up into the cylinder foot and gave some
indication of an axle within the foot (maybe just a knob on the side of the
foot) you would have enough to give the effect. NICE PIC.
