This - especially the large image - is something to study for a while:
it is a complicated mix of things I recognize and things I don't know.
It has a distinct fantasy-content, and, well... What is it??

This is very, very nice. What appeals to me most is the apparent level of
detail. Well done.

After attempting to figure out for several hours how you came up with
this, one could then spend several more looking at the detail.

And the contrast and colouration are _perfect_! Amazing image!

Puts me in mind of the game Riven. Very nice, VERY detailed. And I can't
figure out what it means, though I'm sure all the information is there. I'm
gonna have to stare at this one for a few hours :)

How did you make the image? Is it all POV/MegaPOV?

WOW! That's very good.

For some reason I am really connecting this image with Gilles' Book of
Beginnings. An influence perhaps? You have the same kind of interesting take
on a sort of Biblical theme, along with a similar attention to detail and
artistry. Most impressive.

Thanks for your comments. To answer some questions :

 What does it means ?
Nothing special, it's "just" an underwater landscape with a circus
of houses (on 3 stories), a sink plug at the center, and some gimmicks
around. It's more about creating an atmosphere than about meaning
something.

 How was it made ?
100% MegaPOV (special version with angle_of_incidence pattern), except
for the two Poser figures. Mostly CSG, 100% procedural textures (no
maps,
and HF's are generated internally). Trees by Gilles Tran, atmospheric
media overall (very tiny influence, but I like the grain it brings).
20 hours of rendering on a Celeron 633, some contrast/... adjustments
and a sliiight controlled glow on bright areas.

Fabien.

Makes a great background! If only it wasn't covered with ugly icons.
