That's the nicest gold texture I've ever seen. I recognise the shape from

That gold is very realistic. If you took one lump of it, it would look like it
came right out of the ground.

It looks good, how about trying some sky around and getting some more
uniform lighting with radiosity.
BTW, it would also be interesting to make it melting on one side, for
example with the spray include or particle system patch...

Me too. I have a book about treasures around the world, which contains
quite a much authentic pictures about ancient jewellery. This image has
a same kind of feeling, realistic and worn-out heavy golden thingy.

Very nice!
How about adding bits of soil in the crevices and putting it on a soil
background, like it's just been dug up.
