This took 8h7mins with AA0.3 ...
I think its worth the time, isn't it ?
Who wants to try it with photons and dispersion ?

Nice teapot.
I think you have the adc_bailout setting to low. You can try to set it
as high as .05. In doing this you'll need to increase the reflection a
little bit. The black spots will disappear and the time rendering will decrease.

Very nice.
One problem, what's causing those black spots? They don't really detract
much though. I'm wondering if it's max_trace or some sort of attenuation
you put in, but they seem too dark for that.

even with max_trace 2048 they are still there ...
I think it's the inner refraction, thats causing them ...
don't know how to kill them ...
for the next render I'll try to set adc_bailout to 1/32 and raise the
tracelevel again to 128 (there's no need to incease it further ) and
see if this will change ...

Good enough to join my wall papers. But the scene itself could use some
development, perhaps a few objects out of camera for the teapot to reflect.

Very nice pic. But don't you think that after nearly 9 hours, your tea
must be really cold? At this point, I'd add a few ice cubes and a lemon
slice.
