You'll notice this is mirrored about the origin.  This can be worked
around by translating the pattern so that the origin is away from the
view.

The seams would be less obvious, I imagine, if they crossed in the
middle of a brick rather than at a corner.

What a wonderful thing it is that people help you so well and so quick!
Thank you ABX, that looks also really nice. 
When I have come to the bottom of those 2 macro's I might get an inkling 
of how it is done :)
