Well I created a script to place all the buildings, and I made a quick 
tower to place in the middle. Still working on that. I adjusted the 
lighting. I'm going for sort of a stark feeling with the lighting. like 
some ritual is occuring .. or an attack is about to happen. with only 
two weeks left there's lots of work left to do! let me know what you think!

I like your idea.
I think you should change your camera position so that everything doesn't
look so symmetrical. The edges of the crater are too sharp and should have
broken parts and cracks in. The a procedural texture would also look better
in this case.  The lighting also needs some work.

Exactly my idea! It is difficult now as it is to get an impression of 
the stucture of the stairs. I am very curious to see what it's going to 
be :-)

It's looking good, but if you're entering the IRTC then it probably isn't
a good idea to post here, the judges will get fed up of seeing the same 
image over and over again.
