You forgot
camera {location <0,5,0> look_at 0}
light_source {<0,100,0> rgb 1}
plane {y,0 pigment{White}}
Interesting, but couldn't make it work in my situation. Had to make it
out of eight objects. I'm still looking for ideas for other ways to do
it.

What about a single sphere with a 4*2 pixels image_map ?
