That mouse looks really good, the fur could be improved of course.

Try the IsoWood include file...

I think the paws are allright. I use to have various rodents as pets when i
was young. the hamsters i remember had very hand-like paws, they were pink
though.

Yep. Radiosity and real fur might help.

I like this image a lot, it doesn't have any extremely amazing technical
abilities - which is what counts - its clear and obvious whats going on and
extremely sweet, to be honest apart from some light fur and possibly in a
bit more of a scene it doesn't need any more work IMO. The colours/contrast
works great as you instantly see what is going on.

Congrats to the cartoonist :-)
><whinge> Mouse's backside wrong shape,
You are right. The body looks more like a monkey than a mouse. Try
making the hips wider and the shoulders narrower, the thighs shorter and
the calves longer and the back curved up a bit.
The head and the tail are perfect, though.
>but Hey! What d'you expect with handmade blobs after a month?
I know that feeling. Except that I usually give up on using blobs :-(

Thanks, and will work a little harder on the fur.

I get greater satisfaction with do-it-yourself. I've not looked at
your IsoWood include yet. I did see your demo post and was impressed.
Must have a play with it when I get time.

The paws were pink like the tail, but they looked even more like hands
then. Kept mice myself as a kid. Made what seemed like lots of money
at the time selling the young in school :-)

Ever had that situation trying to get all 4 legs of a table or chair
the same length? Increase one component and the others don't look
right then :-} Thanks for the advice though.

Thanks Peter. The original cartoon was around 3:1 aspect ratio. The
viewing angle was high enough to avoid any background, just floor
boards. I already had a mousetrap and helmet and thought the scene
would be easier. I was wrong :(
