This is getting to be too much for me.

At least the shadow doesn't look too real ;-)

That is really good work!

<nit-picking> You used just one imagemap for the whole card? There is
something wrong at the side of the Rj-connector and that bel-chip.
</nit-pick> Doesn't really matter.

If someone would have asked me, I would have said, this is not possible.

Looks great, some blurred reflection for the metal stuff and a
corresponding surrounding would be good of course. BTW, how much memory
did the radiosity calculation consume?

With the level of work that went into this, I'm not going to
nick pick. Looks realistic enough to me. Very convincing.

yes, its one image map laid over the whole card and all components, I tried
texturing the sides of some or the larger items separately, but it didn't
look right, so some vertical banding was the lesser of 2 evils..

the rad settings wooped over 120MB, and crippled my pc for pretty much an
entire weekend (p3 ~800 - 256mb)

You can increase the photorealism of this image by adding just a bit
of post-processing focal blur (so that the sharpest area is at the middle
of the card and the closest and farthest parts to the camera get a bit
blurred).
If you have the time, try it. I'm sure it will look excellent.

Would be interesting to see it without image maps.
