During the rendering of this image I got several "Illegal grid value in
dda_traversal()".
What's wrong? Is that connected with my hf bricks? How can I fix it?
Besides I'd like to know the best way to make realistic bricks
(displaced isosurfaces?...).

Well, they are pretty realistic, aren't they? A hint: make them of SLIGHTLY
different sizes and I think that nobody will notice!

Your heightfield bricks look good, isosurfaces could be useful too, but
they are much slower when you use pigment functions. What's best is not
easy to say, it depends on the actual situation.

Those bricks look pretty good i think. From a bit farther awawy, they would
look great for any scene i think. maybe if some were broken, but i imagine
that would be where isosurfaces would come in?

Those are really great looking bricks, and the circular shape that they're
stacked in really enhances their appearance. I can't wait to see what kind
of scene you're going to put this in - wanna give us a hint?

Dave
