Hi,

this is a still life from my old office at the university. The corner with
the coffee supplies hit by the evening sun through the louver. For all the
non-European: the big green box is the drip grind (one of the bigger
brands), the pack on the right site is surrogate cream (have not found
another word for, it makes your coffee white, no milk, just powder, it lasts
forever).

I do not like the cups. They are not smooth enough.

Bye
Rene

In the States we call it "non-dairy creamer". Or at least, that's what
it says on the packages.

Tighten up the highlight a little and add some angle-dependent
reflection (if you're using MegaPOV) to give the cups that glossy glazed
look you're probably trying for.

The pattern on the wall looks a bit strange, but altogether the image
looks really convincing; the labels really help. You might consider
using radiosity (or lowering the error_bound if you're already using it)
to help bring out the details in some of the shaded areas.

I tried radiosity but I probably used the wrong values. The wallpaper has to
be replaced, I agree.
It is an PoV3.0 image and about three years old, a good reason to rediscover
my old hobby PoV-Ray.

WOW, that'd make ONE SWEET scene! :-P Take the above scene, open the
contains of that fake stuff, have it half poored in, then a bloody knife of
something. Label it the above.. :-) Of course, one would prob not get the
scene without the inside joke.. :-)

Could you post the code? I'm interested in the way you did the lights!
Please? It has something I can't do.

Surrogate cream :)

I'm sorry, i'm not makign fun of you, but that just made me smile and laugh
out loud. That is by far the best term for it i think, even though here in
u.s.a. we call it boring things like non-dairy creamer.

But from now on i call it surrogate cream.
