Anyone remember making one of these as children out of 6 rubber bands
and 6 old pen cases or lollypop sticks?
Found an old Pov2 source I had abandoned coz I couldn't figure the
maths for the rubber bits. Can't see what the problem was now :-\
There's a V notch each end of the rods that I can't make as visible as
they should be. Still working on the rubber geometry.

Overall, I'd say these:

    Try making a square notch instead of a 'V' notch.  May look better.  I
can;t see any notches at all, so if ya want the V notches, make the deeper..

    Those rubber bands seem to be cylinders.  Rubber bands aren;t round,
they're flat.. :-)

    That's about it..  Looks good other then that IMHO..

You can see the V on the nearest rod on the ground. Penknives don't
cut square notches :)) but even those are no good. Looks like I must
use a different finish for the V.

Yup! You've noticed the problem. Square-ish superellipsoids developed
holes when I tried them "stretched" :(
