Yes, it's quite clear that the weigthed average gives the best result.
It doesn't suprise me, but it's good to have a clear example of this.
I'm only worried about the increased possibility of creating degenerate
smooth triangles.
One solution to this is to smooth an edge only if its angle is less than
a certain angle (if the angle is at most 90 degrees, there shouldn't appear
any degenerate triangles).
