I said: give me scan copy - I think this is good
idea to make procedural pattern in POV

That looks neat, maybe some kind of displace warped crackle pattern would
work...

I already considered adding crack functions to the isowood include, this
one has a bit more 'turbulence' than the type I considered first.

This image is inspiration indeed, I'm thinking cylindrical
crackel with a bit of turbulance, can you have a map with 
more that one crackel in it and scale the crackels differently,
if so "I think we jutm might be able to do it captain but we'll
be pushing her to the limits".
