I vote for #1 !
please take a whole day to do it. since ytou can do great stuff in 2 hours,
you will do Incredible stuff in one day !

But the assumption that quality of art increases linear with working time
is probably wrong.
I like #3 although it looks somehow 'twisted', i usually prefer x/y/z
views for my sketches, but i'm usually not doing such complicated models.
