Ok ... this time in context ...
but now I got it not the way I wanted it ...
OK ... I would say the algorithm is there ...
now it's time for tweaking the parameters ...
This time it took 17h in 1024x768 without Radiosity, but with AA.
I think because of my multiplane-heaven ...
but the lightnings look to odd ... :-(

Not that bad. The algorithm shows some promise.
If you want totally realistic lightning, you can do a prticle simulation
and have it follow the path of least resistance... ;)

Perhaps it would appear more 'natural' if the lightning diverged as you
traveled in a +Y direction, instead of the convergence it shows now?

There certainly seems to be a lot of it in one frame, and I think the
lightning is fine, but the sky should be more obviously full of clouds
and darker, justifying so much activity.
Either that or a road with the time elapsed effects of cars driving
across the ground, like in those pictures where the shutter on the
camera stays open for a long time.

I think it would make the perfect lightning for either a scene of an
alien world or maybe as a surrealistic effect.
