i have done a 3 day render on my PIII650 ........
(ok so for half of that time i was using the pc as well as POV)
very very neat image btw, what are those cylinder things?

Pfft! I'm currently on day 17 of Steven Pigeon's "TheMachine.pov" at
1024x768 AA0.3 with radiosity on a 650Mz Athlon.
From my calculation, It should finish by the week end.

I started skyvase.pov on my 8088 machine 7 years ago and I figure
it still have 2 years left before it finishes !!

IIRC all recent povray versions do not work in a real mode DOS
environment.

The slowest machine I have actually used POV-Ray on was a 10mhz
286 with no FPU. I hade to use a patched version because the
official DOS version would only run on a 386 or better machine.
It was slowwwwwwww...... ........but usable.
