I modeled the chess pieces, but they all have a material with
rgb<1,1,1,1,1>...really!

Ok, I didn't really model any chess pieces.  Does anybody
have a nice set I could borrow (.mdl format)?

Ah, that's why they look so similar.
I think that modelling your own chess set would be a real fun. Why do you
want to lose it all?
