Unfortunately my newsreader (knode) does not show the image.. does it work

It seems to work for me- can't your newsreader display jpegs?
Nice image; if you aren't using standard color definitions, rgb<> instead,
then you might have a value mixed up somewhere in there.

KNode can display jpegs, but the problem is that Eitan posted HTML, and in
that case KNode seems to not care about the Image.

Or that the name of the file is "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\nsmailVR.jpeg" which some
newsreaders, particularly on backward systems that use the wrong directory
separator, might not see as a legitimate filename.
Eitan, it looks like the light from the red and blue tubes is mixing with
the light from the green tube to make white. Have you tried putting opaque
boxes between the three tubes to see if that's the case?
