Strange, but really really cool. It's a great effect and I love it.
Perhaps the background color gradient could have some turbulence or
something to stir it up just a little bit would help

The clouds in the background would look better if you scaled them smaller in
the y direction. The foreground is very nice. Your textures all seem very
lifelike.
