As discussed in p.u.p. it would be nice to have a gradient pattern not
only for objects, like megapov's slope pattern, but for any pigment.  

The macro used for this pictures calculates a 2d gradient pigment using a
type 1 displace warp.  

This method also allows to add turbulence to the pattern, but remember it
is only 2dimensional.
