Last week I used two different textures to 
torture this iso-donut.

The lack of possibilities to store 
intermediate calculations makes this awfully 
slow to render.

I think that I will delay further explorations 
of things like this until I get a faster PC.

The torture tools wasn't textures, but patterns.

That's neat, looks like a foam cushon, amazing texture, 
don't tell me it's just straight forward rgb <1,0,0>.

Yes it's only "pigment { color Red }"

I think it is problems with accuracy that makes the 
surface look this strange.


The "average" minor radius of this torus is continuously 
adjusted according to the "field strength" of a pattern 
(agate) at the circle that lies in it's "middle".

The other pattern is noise3d. And values from a circle 
in this pattern "describes" the profile that is being 
"turned around".
