post processed version, this was the 'resident evil' horror kind of look i
was aiming for, pity its so difficult to get this kind of effect with native
pov - especially with rad light...

Try using a stronger area light_source and turn down the radiosity
brightness a bit; this will create more contrast and, with a bit of
tweaking, you should be able to get a similar effect.
