I have a business partner that I'm working with to create a website. Their
main imagery takes 14 hours to generate with POV-Ray. I relayed this to them
when they asked for some minor changes (I told them to make sure that was
all they wanted). This is a short excerpt from their response:

> Randy and I have access to a Convex Exemplar supercomputer with 6
processors and 2 GB of ram. Think that will render faster? THis HP-UX
parallel processor is located in our building.

Think I should take them up on their offer? They also said I could use it
for any projects I wanted because it's just sitting around doing nothing.

in any case ... take them up on it and make sure the iron is connected to
the internet, make sure we can upload source files and they get rendered
there automaticly

Nice computer. However, POV doesn't support multithreading nor is their a
current version of PVpov that could be run in parallel.

At least you could run a few POV tasks 'simultaneously', all working on
different renders ... assuming their system isn't I/O limited.

Last I saw PVMPov was not updated to 3.1g. Also, the conversion of megapov
to a 'sortof' pvmpov was still in the early beta stages.
