Something I've been playing with for a while now (current status: a macro
that creates individual clouds, with parameters for shape and shading; aim:
a system to create complete skyscapes automatically given just the time of
day, with options for full control over every aspect...).

The all-important question: what were the render stats for this pic (with what
aa settings too)?

Well this certainly fits as a cumulus type. "humilis" is something I've
never heard of, and if that were just a added word please forgive my
ignorance :-|

I neglected to keep stats for the rendering, but a re-render at 400x300 took
about 3 1/2 minutes on my old P166. Anti-aliasing shouldn't generally be
necessary with the technique I've used, and even if it is turned on for
other objects it shouldn't slow down the clouds too much...

I am astunded at how realistic POVRAY produced clouds are getting now. I
can't wait for a good rain storm, with lightning!

I'm guessing a planar or gradient pigment turbulated in many different
ways. And mapped onto a box, or triangle. Am I right?

Ah, nice to see you back to work, instead of making logos. ;)
Great work on the clouds, Chris. Are they 3D objects or flat? Are they
media? Could you give a general explanation of how you're doing this, and
the current capabilities and limitations? Thanks.
