using MegaPOV (thanks all workers)
I wrote interesting pattern based on Eschers idea
( http://www.domaindlx.com/Escher/tes/back78.jpg )
it can be used with pigments, textures, normals, etc.
only with color_map, texture_map ....
there is not image_map - only simple math inside script
it is infinite and 2D on X-Z just like classic image_map pattern
but it is zoomable
artifacts are mainly from sampling and compression
there are two planes and one light on picture
now I'm working on small package of such patterns
and I hope it is worth

That is really cool. If you look at just the upper portion (crop it) long
enough, it looks like it is crawling up/down. Looking forward to seing more.
