I thought this turned out fairly well when I added a height field and water plane. My
faith in
height fields is renewed because the isosurface I tried was a time distorter.
The buildings are far from complete.
Enjoy the scenery!

I like it, colors fit together very well. Is it a handmade heigtfield or some
povray texture ?

I like it very much! The colors of the water are great and so are the
others.
Are those buildings hovering?

Drawn in PSP, shades of gray, using some brush types like Ocean, Swamp, and Lava. I
tried to get a
sea-side bluff similar to the photographs I had seen. The texturing is slope
dependant, guess I
should have mentioned that. The beach, where it looks wet, is actually the base plane
under the
water which angles down to be deeper farther out.

Wow !
This is really nice !
I do like the atmosphere.
Again, great image ! :o)
May I get the source code ?
Want to make a background (1027 by 768 pixels) of it.

Very observant of you, quit looking so closely! :-)
I've got to figure out if the larger building is on stilts or not, many shoreline
places are but
it's 40 feet above sea level there. The adjoining building on the lighthouse is not.
I'm certain
the other is supposed to be above ground some but not the lighthouse one. A little
adjustment to
be done yet.

Well since you seem so impressed, yes, you may.
Oh yeah, it's already at the povray.text.scene-files group (just joking with you
before) subject
title is Pensacola Lighthouse vers 1. It's a version 1 because I'm continuing to make
changes, as
usual.
Good luck making sense of my inane sense of scripting.

Bob
