That's what I though of, too.

It looks like a Borg pod last seen exploding in "StarTrek:First Contact".

Cool image, Rune.

My suggestion would be to animate it, with kind of a transcendtal anime
style slow motion explosion. With some overly melodramatic music in the
background if you can swing it.
