One of the first things I was going to
try out when I am installing MegaPov is
to let a 3D-pattern control the strengths
of randomly placed components in a blob.
Does this picture mean that you have
beat me to this ?

I forgot to say that I like this image.
It looks like some kind of crackle
pattern to me. But the green stuff seems
to be mostly 2 dimensional (this is a
little bit hard to see).

Let me guess:
A variation of your ice flows pigment used as an isosurface function. Must take
quite a lot of time to render...
The wall looks a bit too flat right now.

Ha! I fooled ya all!
I didn't use an isosurface at all, neither did I use blobs. It's all just a
texture with a strong normal!
Yes, I used my pattern control trick, and yes, I used it with a crackle
pattern, but not a regular crackle pattern. The slimy structure I got by
using a form vector of <0,3,-2>.
The MegaPOV form crackle pattern is probably one of the most powerful
patterns, I just found out. It can be used to produce a wide variety of
patterns, many of them organically looking. Try it out!
Greetings,
Rune
