Testing out the glow function in Chris Huff's new patch, i made some tries with
glows and radiosity, here is the result.
The scenes contains no light sources and a sky with quite low ambient to
simulate nighttime.

Okay. The lighting here is absolutely beautiful. That's all there is to say about
that.

Can you do that and yet not make the whole thing look so foggy? I mean, like
have the glows, but make the air thinner or something?
PS: Gorgeous renders. :)

Thanks, but it's really not much, just a test how glows and radiosity interact.

There is no fog or media of any kind, so i can't do much about it.
I could think of some kind of falloff function for the glows, but i don't know
if this is possible.

Currently, the only way you can affect the size of the glow is by
adjusting the color or intensity(which may have the exact same effect, I
haven't really checked yet). I plan on adding more options and glow
types to help control brightness and size, though.

Another test.
The glow is continued above the cones, so it would be nice to have some
clipped_by {} or something similar but that's probably quite difficult to
implement.

What was the render time like for this one.

While I was working on the image I posted above, I was thinking that some
sort of falloff feature would be make these even more useful. I wanted to
make some of the space around the stars blacker while maintaining the
"cloudiness" around the stars.
