I think that playing with the media settings will make a denser beam. the
render time on a PIII 500 with 128 Mb Ram, 800x600 aa 0.3 was about 4hrs.

No ghost.... I used a small bumo statement to add a wee bit o' depth to the
floor. That spot is near where one of the lights is located. So it is just a
reflection.
