Are you saying that it only took you 1 Hours to render this picture? If so
then you don't use Pov-Ray much. A render time of several days is not to
unusual for images like this. It looks like you don't have Max trace level
high enough, that's why its black.

I think that if I were you I'd be disappointed. But I don't know exactly
what you were going for.

all i was going for was a quick render of a diamond... although i still
have one that i haven't finished that rendered for 3 days and still was only
28% done... I'm going to try and render that one when i have nothing else
to do... (maybe never due to my {forgive my language} damned impaitence....)
BTW this was totally CSG. taking only 20 minutes to set up due to the
facets. maybe i should render my 9 UDO 30 million photon one... that
SHOULD blow you socks off.... if i can just wait a week or so for it to
render.

Don't fret .. I once waited 172 hours for a render to complete because
my max trace level was too high. Real nice internal reflections on
glass objects though ...

Dennis

:( If it can't be done with FORTRAN and UNIX, it isn't worth doing :)

Due to a GPF in the COMCTL.DLL  i had to restart the render after 24 hours... :{
If this keeps up i may have to forget trying to render this F***ing thing!
